Waterproof Rear Panniers with Roll Closure - Pair of same color

The Back-Roller Classic is a spacious set of bike panniers for the rear rack. With its symmetrical design and slanted shape on both sides this classic ORTLIEB bag provides enough space for pedaling, while also able to be used individually either on the left or right side of the bike. An internal pocket consisting of main compartment and zippered mesh pocket helps organizing small items inside the pannier. The patented ORTLIEB QL1 system allows fast and easy single-handed mounting and removal of the panniers, and is suitable for racks with a tube diameters up to 16 mm (hook inserts for diameters of 8 and 11 mm are included).

Once the panniers are hooked into the rack, the mounting components close automatically. For taking off the rack you simply lift the handle. It's as easy as that!

Two large and highly reflective 3M Scotchlite reflectors ensure safety in the dark.  Comes as a pair, same color.  Includes shoulder strap.

That's what I use it for.  A short trip to the grocery store works perfect.  I get what I need for dinner and it all fits!

Easy on and off, good quality, roomy and durable.  A bit heavy, but I don't know what others may weigh.

Panniers! June 24, 2012

These have so much room in them, can't wait to go to the grocery store! Simple enough to mount. I did e-mail Geoff and ask him on the proper way to close and seal. he was quick to reply and it's quite simple to do that too, just roll the top towards the rack and cinch with the strap!

Great portable panniers May 29, 2012
Reviewer: Jake Greenberg from Portland, OR United States
I was skeptical about buying these as there are much cheaper versions out there.  Not better values however, I've come to realize.  These are built to German standards (in other words they are like BMW or Mercedes quality), and the brilliance is in how easy it is to remove and then later return them to a secure fitting on the bike.  The clip that secures the bag to the rack is disengaged when you lift it by the carrying handle, and reengages beautifully when you return it to the bike.  It has a plastic 'finger' that is custom set by the bike shop (or by you) to also secure the lower part of the pannier, to keep it from flopping around.  Bottom line: super well made, very securely attached to the bike rack, very easy to remove to take into the store for filling with food items.  Also waterproof.  Not cheap, but good value.  If you're serious about biking as comuting, then these would be great.
