About a year ago, I bought a Kalkhoff E-Bike...	February 22, 2013

(1) The battery was fully charged when the bike arrived. Is that ok?
(2) After pushing the power switch on, the only LEDs that turn off are the two assistance level modes that are not selected. The battery status LEDs never turn off. Page 5 of the manual reads "Do not use pedals when LEDs are on. I have ignored this and rode the bike and everything seems ok. Have I screwed up?
Riding the bike is much better than I had expected and there were no problems with the shipping.

It cuts down my commute since I don't have to spend time waiting to transfer on transit. Amasing how easy it is to climb a steep hill, still getting exercise but at least makes it possible to go anywhere I want. My neighborhood is hilly and with my regular bike I was intimidated to head out, not with my Kalkhoff. Great follow-up service and add on products. They were great to work with through the purchasing process too.

I have been commuting to work for the last week on my new bike, and it is a joy to ride. So light, so easy to operate, and I love that it looks just like a regular bike. Have also received many admiring comments regarding the fine craftsmanship of the bike.
